Globetrotter Software’s home page:

8 You may delete the executables you don’t want. For example, if you don’t
need ModelSim for HP machines:
cd /usr/modeltech/
rm -rf hp700
Installation - Windows platforms
Before you begin a new ModelSim installation make sure you have a
Globetrotter license data file (license.dat file); you’ll need the file to run
ModelSim. If you don’t have a license file see "FLEXlm Licenses" (p32).
Most installation details are addressed by the install program during the
installation process. You can install ModelSim from a CD or EXE file as
outlined below.
• Install from the CD - install will auto-run when you insert the CD, or
you can click on the CD icon.
• Install from an FTP file - run the installation executable. The
ModelSim installation executable (mti<version>ee.exe) is available
within the version-numbered directories at:
ftp.model.com/pub/EE/
Note: If you have another installation of ModelSim, you may want to
complete this installation in a different directory to avoid over-writing
any current files or libraries.
If you need licensing details or installation troubleshooting information,
please read on.
If you are using Mentor Graphics licensing
